July 13, 2019 was picture-perfect for a wedding. The golden sun was shining bright, the Ohio greens were in full bloom, and St. Richards Church in Swanton, Ohio seemed to glow with simple elegance. No matter how far from our location, we will arrive at a wedding far earlier than we are scheduled to be there. During this time, we’ll simply walk the grounds and draw inspiration for the day. Our note pad (on our phone, of course, hehe) will fill with ideas for backdrops and photoshoot locations so we can seamlessly transition from place to place during your wedding photography or videography. This hour before the wedding day is essential to our creative process.
When it was time for Brady and Garrett’s coverage to begin, we were ready to roll. We could feel the excitement rising in the bridal party and their families as we collected all the shots on our videography list. As we were leaving Brady’s getting ready location to swing over to the groom’s quarters, she stopped us to ask if we could deliver Garrett a handwritten letter she wrote to him.
Our answer? “ABSOLUTELY! ...but is there any way we can get a video of you reading it first?!”
Being the laidback, amazing bride she is, she was down. Once we made it to Garrett, we had him sit down to record his reaction. It was one of those “OMGGGG THIS IS AMAZINGGG!!!!” moments - and we immediately knew that letter was going to be a major part of their video.
In the letter, Brady expresses her deep love for Garrett and their son, Koby, who we also knew would be a major character in their wedding video. From our time spent getting to know this beautiful couple, we saw what attentive, sweet, and gentle parents they are - and how fiercely they love their baby boy. It is our job as personalized a wedding company to take the feelings that make this couple who they are and display them to the world.
Congratulations, Brady and Garrett! We hope we did your hearts justice with this one.
