40+ Easy-To-Forget Wedding Details
When planning an event as big as a wedding, it can be so easy to overlook tiny details.
How can you be sure you’ve covered all your bases? We’ve put together a list of little things you might be missing while planning your big day. If you can answer our 40+ questions confidently, you’re in great shape to SLAY your big day.
Set-up & Clean-up
Who is helping set-up all your ceremony decor? Reception decor? How many hours will it take? When do you need to set it up by? Tear it down by? Who is tearing it down? How will you get them the storage containers? Where/how will they get the decor back to you?
Transportation
How are you getting from your house to your getting ready location? From there to your ceremony? From there to your reception venue? From there to the afterparty? From there back to your suite/home/wherever? What about your bridal party members? Close family members? (Children?) Photo/video team? Make sure you know who is bringing you where, where you are meeting them, and who you are delegating all your other responsibilities to!
Communication
Does your bridal party know everything you’re expecting of them? Your vendors? Where/when to meet you? What to do directly following the ceremony? If they need to help with things during down town? I recommend my brides make a call sheet/schedule for their bridal party! Make sure everyone knows what’s expected of them and what the day will look like.
Check-lists
Do you have a knife to cut your cake? A pocket sewing kit in case something tears? Safety-pins? That adorable “bride” robe you bought a week after getting engaged? A knife to cut your cake? Make check-lists of everything you need to bring with you the night before/morning of. For the best organization, I recommend a different list for decor, personal items, and emergency supplies! If you go over your check-list before you leave, you can be confident you have EVERYTHING you need.
What-ifs
What if the whether is terrible?! What if people show up who didn’t RSVP? What if you want your photo/video team to stay an extra hour? What if you take an extra 30 minutes getting ready? Go through the day and think about the things that can set you back - then brainstorm solutions. With a day as important as your wedding, it’s impossible to be over prepared. On the photo side of things, I always assume everything that can go wrong, WILL go wrong, that way I’m ready for anything. Good Luck! YOU GOT THIS.
